You are probably better off looking at French genealogy sites.

For compiled family trees try the France-based Geneanet; these have the usual shortcoming of all internet genealogies, but they can provide very useful information, and you have the option of contacting the submitter. This site has indexes of extracted records as well. You may want to look at the premium (paid) version, which you can do at any LDS Family History Center. This site also has superior reporting features.

The French Departmental archives are online, and these have both civil and church records. Each department has its own archive. These are subject to the EU privacy rules, so recent documents will not be there.

Do a google search for French Genealogy and you will lots of hits for both specific sites, and the general information sites like Cindi’s List and the Family Search wiki.

This site, https://www.filae.com/ , is also extremely useful for French genealogy.
