No, she was born a Lykins.  Daughter of David and Nancy.  My search for a primary source is ongoing, but this fact is well known within the family (descendants).

I’m aware she was born Lykins. But there have been instances of (what they considered) “unrelated” Lykins marrying Lykins in our family. There’s a story from my grandfather suggesting an earlier marriage to another Lykins branch, which is why I asked.

It would just be nice to have some old family letters, journals, family Bible or something from that time documenting those initial “questioned” births where they maintained the Lykins name.
I have seen a couple of instances of persons absolutely insisting that it is well known that George Stacy was the father of her first 4 children.  I am also wishing that we could find some kind of believable, recorded documentation of it, or whatever the truth might be.  It would appear that in those days such documentation procedures did not exist or were not enforced.
