James Monroe 5th President Genealogy

James Monroe may be one of the easiest Genealogies to work on.  He is directly related to Clan Munro from Scotland and there are numerous wiki sites and Scottish sites focused on that historic family.  If you have a Monroe in your tree why not Join the Presidential project and take over the profile.  There are over 500 Monroe profiles and nearly 400 named Munro.  Much of the work on James has already been done.

I've added myself as another Profile manager and will do what I can.  James is an uncle in my own tree.  But I'm moving pretty slowly these days - especially trying to keep up with all the new tricks....

James Monroe is also an uncle in my line. I will work diligently to help out the early Munro line and the recent Monroes in my maternal grandmothers line.

I am also a relative of President James Monroe but am having difficulty in obtaining information from his lineage after his birth.  I see a lot of records of those who came before him but I need more. My great grandmother was Olivia Calvert Monroe. She married John Wellington Campbell in North Carolina. Deceased in Fayetteville, NC but not sure in which county they married. Can anyone help me figure out where Olivia fits into the Monroe Family Tree. I can take it from there, as far as the genealogy goes at this point. Thanks, and please help if you can.  Hottshot79@yahoo.com

James Monroe's Paternal line can be traced back to the early 11th century now.
