Thanks Joop
You are indeed a good friend and an excellent Wikitreer.  And thanks to you also Margreet :)
I will certainly revisit MyHeritage and see what sources I can find.
Trust me - I will keep
Regards
you up to date on my endeavours.
I am not the worrying kind, but I have lost some sleep over all this. Mysteries are not always fun if you are in the middle of them.  Still, it is a great comfort to know that I have you, Bea, Astrid and now Margreet to help me Emoji

Thanks Carolyn,

Its allways nice to help people. But I'm not allone, also Bea and Astrid are helping and look for sources. I hope we find the connection for youre ancestors to the Vercoilge pedigree and Johannes Verkolje. Thanks to you now I'm learning some things about research in English records and history of the 16th century.

Greetings from the other side of the World, upside down...

Joop - Can you translate this into English please.  At this stage I need all the help can get.

I do have some documents that I located when I went back to MyHeritage.  I will send them asap.  They are relevant.

Carolyn

Above is a message to Margreet, one of the active Dutch Roots members back of vacation. I invited her to join our little challenge to find and proof the connections between you, the dutch painters, the pedigree you found en the dutch that time in londen. I called it there the Vercoille mystery, little joke.

The documents or links you find in Myheritage can be used as leads for the research. Are there mentioned sources like notes of baptism, marriage etc, then we can use these sources in the profiles. A pedigree is not a valid source to proof connections and relations and if we found information in other pedigrees we look first whether the information is provided with good sources so we can use these sources on Wikitree.

I propose that I set up a g2g for the Verkolje connections so we can better coordinate and for further discussion. smiley

Hi Joop, you know I always love a good challenge and it is a good idea to start a G2G because then I can get up to speed asap. If there's a specific lead you would like me to work on just give a shout.
