I cannot find the parents of James Mosher-details in post. At a brick wall, can anyone help?

I have been at stand still for years with who the parents are of James Mosher (surname alternately spelled Mosier).  According to a family bible James was born 30 May 1780 in Pepperell, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.

From Massachusetts he moved to New Hampshire, USA. Around 1800 he married his wife, Hannah Pierce, in New Hampshire, USA.

Around 1803 they moved to New York, USA.

Around 1832 they moved to and finally settled in Ohio, USA.

James wife, Hanna Pierce, had a sister named Mary. Mary Pierce married a man named Jacob Mosher. I do not know if James and Jacob are related or not.

Jacob is listed as being born in Hollis, New Hampshire, USA which is right across the boarder from where James was supposedly born in Pepperell, Massachusetts, USA.

Editing this paragraph. I have found the answer to this. James and John are not the same person.  According to birth records Jacob had a brother named John Mosher who was born in Hollis, New Hampshire, USA on 31 May 1779. The bible pages say James birthday was 30 May 1780 so the names and dates are pretty close. Probably just a coincidence.

James and Jacob are both listed as having lived in Ringe, New Hampshire, USA at the same time. James Family moved to New York, USA. A few years later Jacob's family moved to the same area of New York, USA.

A few questions that come to my mind: "Are James and Jacob related?" and mostly "Who are James Mosher's parents?"

If anyone can shine some light for me it will be greatly appreciated!

Could be the same man.  "James" is the English version of the Latin "Jacobus". Perhaps the family was of German or similar European extraction.
I thank you for this reply. I was actually questioning whether John and James were the same person.(This would make Jacob his brother). I'm sure my post was confusing. Sorry
I have found information which proves John and James are not the same person. James and Jacob could still be related though.

Thank you Marion Poole for the information about the marriages. Unfortunately parents names are not listed. I may never find the answer. :(
