Walsh of Westport, County Mayo, Ireland

+3 votes
My great grandad - Richard Walsh born 1884 - came from Westport in Ireland. I would like to identify his parents, but there are a large number of Walsh's around that area and I am having trouble pinpointing the family. I think his Father may have been called Michael.

Any advice appreciated.

Thank you. I should have said that I know where he was from 1901 onwards, because that is when he joined the Marines.

But thanks for having a look
