May 2019 in Review

Here are some highlights of things that happened in May:

News:

• We suggested you save the date for the upcoming Connect-a-Thon.  It'll be July 12-15 and registration will officially open on June 10th so watch for that post! Sign up and help us grow our Tree.
• British Prime Minsters are now in the Relationship Finder Quick Links. 
• If you have a one name study here and at the Guild of One Name Studies there's a sticker for you. 
• Mags let us know that if we want to share our WikiTree link on Gedmatch.com we need to opt-in on their website.

Members:

• If you missed them, you can still get to know the members we featured: Leif Kristensen, Alex Stronach, Keith Cook, and Azure Robinson. 
• 481 members earned the May Club 1000 badge and 2,020 earned the May Club 100!
• Jason Cottrell, David Loring, Nicole Duchesne, Margaret Haining, Doug McCallum, Karen Hoy, Enoch Stuivenberg and Skye Sonczalla all received Super Stars! 
• 19 members received Community Stars, 49 received Family Stars, and 74 received Generous Genealogist badges (see here, here and here). 

Projects:

• The Data Doctors introduced WikiTree TV.
• Read about what other projects have been up to in their newsletters: Southern Pioneers, Magna Carta, Greeters.
• Deb Durham is our newest Project Leader and has jumped right in to co-lead the Volunteer Coordinators, Appreciation Team and G2G Moderators.
• Mindy Silva is a new co-Leader of the Mentors.
• New One Name Studies looking for members: Zalewski, McGuire/Maguire/MacGuire, Lynch, Harvey
• Jason Cottrell started a Royal Ireland Constabulary Project.
• Jacques Julie started up a Mauritian project that is already hopping!
