Have you seen the 'Life of the Week' on the ODNB site re: Robert I (Robert Bruce)?

I wanted to point out the excellent information you can find on the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography (ODNB) site.  Each day they feature a different person, and today it is Robert I, King of Scots, who lived from 1274-1329.  It's a wonderful article, which many people interested in the medieval period might enjoy.  You can access it here:  http://www.oxforddnb.com/public/lotw

On a side note, the Oxford DNB site is an excellent source of information for historical figures, featuring over 59,000 people, that "shaped British history and culture, worldwide, from the Romans to the 21st century."  Those of you involved in the European Aristocrats project will find it very useful, but it also features people from more recent times for those with British ancestry.

Hi Darlene,

Yesterday 23rd June and today 2th June was the anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn, so if you're interest has been sparked, try checking out the bbc.co.uk website for radio Scotland and the history channel there. THey do some amazinf re-enactments and articles on history.

All the best
