So I was playing with the Random Button and got sent to the profile of McKenzie Moss (linked). It was very bare bones, his first and last names were switched, no family was listed and I realized that the original PM is no longer on Wikitree. However, the only information about him was that he was part of the LaSalle Hotel Fire in Chicago, Illinois back in 1946. I tried searching for a Lasalle Hotel Fire category, but one seems to not exist (unless I am not searching right, which could be the case). Should there be one? We have ones for other disasters, do we not? How should the syntax be? I don't know anything about categories!

I looked it up, being curious, 61 dec'd, 30 hospitalized, 200+ injured otherwise

What would be the focus, worst fires in United States or Illinois? or History of Fire Fighting / Firefighters in United States or Illinois? The antecedents and brief history of the 61 who died? That would be like a Memorial for them, all of the 61 you could profile in one particular Category: La Salle Hotel, Illinois 1946

It's an article in WIkipedia, also, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Salle_Hotel

It qualifies as a man-caused disaster, didn't start due to an Act of God, like a tornado, tsunami, flood, etc --

Here are a few other victims someone added:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Farrar-2078

And I added the nephew of McKenzie Moss who was also killed in the disaster:

Thank you so much Susan for the point in the right direction. I have requested a category for the fire, linking here!

smiley Well, that IS good news, there's not just yourself sees it as a viable project. And it IS one.

NOW remains, as you go along, to develop any of the profiles that need it. Try with www.familysearch.com for each one since it's firm when and where the person died.  La Salle Hotel in Chicago, Cooke County, Illinois, United States, person died June 5, 1946.

I'm thinking somewhere there is an Illinois Death Index. Ah, and I'm thinking where on the 1940 Census were these 61?

THANK YOU Natalie!
Someone may want to set up a free-space profile of the event, so the story can be told. I have done so with a couple of disasters myself. (I just wish I had the time to finish my work on them!)
