I think the Peerage website has been suspended again today. I have restarted my computer in case it was that but the website still doesn't seem to work.

I'm having the same issue. I truly hope this is only temporary! I use this website every day. I used the website 'notopening.com' and it says its not just me. That the entire website is down but doesn't give a reason as to why. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it will be back soon!!

Apologies to all for the outage-the web hosting company found a bug on the site and took it down until I fixed it.

Uploads will continue in July when I get back from traveling

Really handy site as it lists it's sources. However it's worth making a note of those sources when Wikitree uses it, for occasions like these. Some of the sources are a bit nebulous and I won't cite it then.

in my own family case I know exactly where the information about my family on the peerage came from mostly me, I distributed my research far and away to a lot of distant cousins, one of them then added it to the peerage, it is one of those that list a reference to an email, but I know the information is good. They have the right parents and birth date for me. But  my  fifth cousin didn't ask the permission of living relatives to do so.

There is a notice on MyHeritage about thePeerage.com, perhaps they have bought him out?  Though it does still refer to the original website.

This is nothing but the usual "user's homepage" on MyHeritage. He only edited the text to his own wishes.

If MyHeritage had bought peerage.com they would at least make an announcement of it on their blog.

It's likely it was in quite significant breach of the GDPR - I know there's info from my own living family on there, published without permission.

If they are indeed closed permanently, there will be a lot of broken links - at WikiTree and elsewhere.  It is always a good idea to archive your sources as you post them:

And even more importantly to not rely on a link  rather than providing  a fully detailed  citation. (although this particular site, as others  have pointed out  has [had?] flaws and should never really be used as evidence .The pre 1700 England reliable sources says this but it is very recent advice)  

This is the second time that I know of  this week that a link to a  relatively frequently used site has failed.  The other case was when a site changed its URL;  the previous URL now leads elsewhere.

Most possible case ,You have been suspended by your webhost. First you check whether you can login to capanel/whm, if you can't contact to your webhosting provider. They may have suspend you for policy violation , non payment etc.

Looks like the two best candidates are non-payment and policy violation.  If the former, the site could be back up once fees are paid.  If the latter, could be down for quite some time.
