(The DOB's year in the gravestone is 1894 instead of 1895. A very usual mistake)

Based on the records above, if Corinne died on 1950 and there were such a 2nd. marriage, then, a divorce record between Matthew and Corinne must exist.

thank you for all your help. You would think there would be a divorce record. I'm still not sure how my cousin Jan knows this. The last child Rita is Jan's mom and my aunt.

Guess I will keep digging. I haven't been able to find anything on the Walsh's other than James' father, Unsure about James; mother Nor the Sherlock family either.

You are welcome, Kat.

The Walshs in the 1900 Census. Matthew, (born May 1894) is listed in line 32 in the following Census schedule:

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-67BS-9L8?i=17&cc=1325221

According to the document, his father James was born on Apr 1858 and his mother Mary, on May 1862. both of them immigrated to the US on 1882.

I hope these clues may help to find their ancestors in Ireland.

I was looking thru some Northborough records and I see a "Corrinna Gauvin" (though none related to marriage records). Are you sure of the spelling of her first name? Could it be Corrinna, or some other variation?
by Susan Hughes G2G6 Mach 4 (45.7k points)
yes that is her. We all thought it was Corinna Marie Gauvin but I just found a birth record that stated Corona Mary most likely an english version from French.

she married Matthew Walsh but my cousin told me that her grandmother, Corinne, was remarried
