There is much here Rena which does not make much sense and the following may or may not be of any use to you.

Salem Bocock b.about 1721 Bedford, Bedford, Virginia, USA, d.1783 Bedford, Bedford, Virginia, USA

Salem Bocock's wife was Susannah Bow (or Bowe) b.1720 Bedford, Bedford, Virginia, USA, d.1757 Bedford, Bedford, Virginia, USA.

Some Family Searches also show that he married (unknown spouse) and had three children Samuel Bocock (1746-1783), Elijah Bocock (1750-1823), Jason Bocock (1750-1816) and then he married (third wife) Agness Johnson b.abt 1731 in 1757.

Salem & Susannah's only child appears to be John Bocock b.abt 1739 ?Virgina and d.abt1753 Buckingham, Appomattox, Virginia, United states.

This John Bocock is said to have been born in about 1739 and died in 1853 but I think its unlikely that he lived to be 114 years old, so I think the dates in many trees online are incorrect.  Additionally I cannot find a birth certificate to connect him by birth to Salem & Susanna. The records on line show that a John Bocock  married Judith Thomas (b.abt 1742) in the year 1772 she died 1 February 1806. Expect that there is another generation in here some place.

There was John Thomas Bocock b.1773 d.1845.

John Thomas Bocock is the son of John Bocock/ Judith Thomas.    It seems that I asked about the wrong John Bocock, but got the right answer.  Still searching......The Bow(Bowe) ancestry still has me puzzled.  John Thomas Bocock signature can be found on a lot of records in 'Revolutionary War Pensions and Bounty-Land Warrants Application Files' in the National Archives.  Still need to confirm the parentage of Salem and Suzanna (Bow) Bocock for John Bocock.  Can't find any records yet.

John Thomas Bocock was son of John Bocock (son of Salem), christened 1741 in Whitgift, Yorkshire, England, and Judith Thomas, born about 1750 in Virginia, daughter of John Thomas and Winifred Dameron.  Salem was christened 1706 in Whitgift, son of John Bocock (b 1763 Yorkshire).  "Salem," however, appears to have been a misreading/transliteration of the abbreviation for Samuel of Samel.  I have significant other information on these families, which I am happy to share.
