Confusion about the parents of Peter Ware 1605-1659

Question

Peter Ware (1605-1659) is my 10th GGF and I'm trying to track down correct information about his parentage.  Find-A-Grave shows James Ware & Mary Bryden as Peter's parents.  But I have also seen his parents listed as John Ware & Mary Owen. Can you help me?

Deborah, if you read through the documentation provided on this profile of James Ware it would seem that the children are fairly well documented from several sources and a son Peter is not mentioned. I would suggest using Find-A-Grave information only as speculation or leads unless it contains primary source documentation or images of grave markers to document specific data.

Is your Ware line from Peter on downstream in WikiTree? I could not find a profile for Peter. What information on Peter Ware do you have that is documented? Place or birth, place of death, spouse, dates for these items? Any of those items might help locate additional information.

Hello Deborah! I would first recommend taking stock of his surroundings. People are likely to be around Family at crucial Turning Points. Who are his Neighbors and Friends? Who Traveled with him? What names did he hand down to his Children and Grandchildren, that are not likely handed down from the Mother? Cross reference those Names with potential Ancestors. His Family Name may not even be spelled "Ware"... It could be Waeir. - Terry

There were two Ware families, the Dublin line is documented on Wikitree. Peter is from the unrelated Cork line see https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=ypsXmsOPvJQC&pg=PA37#v=onepage&q&f=false

The sources for this second line are a bit thinner.
