Are these two profiles father and son?

Hi Wikitree friends,

I have been puzzling for some time over whether William Spring (born around 1822 in Lincolnshire) is the son of William Spring (born around 1794 in Lincolnshire).

An 1821 christening record exists on FamilySearch for a William Spring born to the elder William Spring, but I'm not yet 100% sure if the younger William is the same person as the one in the profile.

That said, I haven't found anything to suggest otherwise, and there is a migration pattern story that may help strengthen this theory: Both William Spring (the younger) and his maybe brother Jesse migrated from England to Canada.

Is anyone able to help me with more information in one direction or the other?

You can view images of most Lincolnshire parish registers for free at Lincs to the Past. The entry for William Spring baptised 7 October 1821 is at the lower left of this image. It records that his parents lived at "West Ashby Allotment". Makes me think that the "West Kirby" birthplace in the 1851 census may be a mis-recording in the original census or a mis-transcription by FamilySearch.

I think there are enough consistent sources on the profiles of William (the younger) and his children, plus the baptism image above, to link the two Williams. You could mark the relationship "uncertain" if you're still not sure.
