Looking for info on Robert A. Mercer Sr. my Grandfather born about 1900

Question

My father Robert A. Mercer Jr. was born to Robert A. Mercer Sr. and Eva B. Mercer (Ashby) in 1921. All I know is, Robert A. Mercer Sr. left his wife and child when Robert A. Mercer Jr. was an infant.

Looking for additional info.

Robert Mercer is not an uncommon name, and you might be looking for ancestors in the UK, US or someplace else?

Robert A. Mercer Sr. was born in Connecticut in 1900. His fathers name is Charles and his mothers name is Isabella.

He was or wasn't married to Eva B. Mercer (Ashby) my Grandmother.

He was married to Virginia E. Mercer (       ) and Charlotte A. Mercer (Weaver).

I can find NO actual marriage information for any of the marriages noted above. They all would have taken place in Connecticut.

He is consistently listed as single, 1918-1930, living with Isabella/Charles.  Then in 1940 is with Virginia.  Eva lists herself as divorced on the 1930-40 census. in 1920 she is living with her parents.  Didn't see any marriage records for either.

born 1923,Eunice,born 1926,Noreen born 1927.Not sure this is your person

but looks like.He also had son Robert A. Mercer Jr.If this is correct can go further
