Some members of Patrick's family tree are preparing to print an updated edition of their family's history and after many years of research Patrick is the only one of his siblings that nothing is known of other than he was mentioned in his Mother's death records,in 1922, as still living.

Have sent that  info on to Kat and Pat's family.....⚘
Being mentioned in obituary as still living can be an assumption, does it mention where? Might help follow him.
I will go back and read all the family's obituaries and see if I can locate his location⚘
Only mention of him I found is in his mother's obit and not even his name is mentioned....it just states her 5 sons are living. I will go into Trove and see if I can find any more obituaries for his family......⚘
Can I safely assume Patrick has no middle name from that information about his birth or does the record need to be opened ☘to be sure.☘
Not sure, but do the siblings have middle names? That is usually a pointer. The reason I asked how they knew he was alive is I found this on findmypast (ignore the mother being Bullungen think it is mistake )

I think you might be onto something ..Thanks Marion⚘

I read one obit for his mum which says five sons living but no names for anybody. In another he does not rate a mention but his brothers and sisters do by name and in that obit a Patrick Connolly is mentioned as being a grandson.  I will keep checking for more obits but as you rightly pointed out they dont seem to be  consistent or reliable.
Kat tells me the family has got him recorded as living on his mother's death certificate not just on her obit ....sorry Marion⚘
I just went back over the emails that Pat's family sent and Kat is right they do have him recorded on his mother's death certificate as well as his mention in her obituary (but not by name)

Sorry Marion⚘
Another brother of Pat's is not mentioned amongst the chief mourners but he is living in another state at the time.

I guess, maybe, Patrick may have been some distance away from his family at the time of his mother's death. They seem to be a rather tight-knit family so it must have been too far for the means of travel available or too expensive? I'm afraid that is all I have for now.....⚘

Thanks Frank⚘I will pass that info on.
I can't tell if there were two men named Patrick Connolly who died within eight years of each other, or whether one is right and the other is incorrect.
I've been trolling Trove and have found more Patrick Connolly's than I have sticks to point at them and I live in a Rainforest. Thanks for you help Frank⚘ as my Dad would say...This conundrum is enough to give a Bex a headache.

Every little bit helps and this family is very appreciative.

Cheers...Sharon.
Thanks Frank⚘ I hear you have been busy on Patricks behalf.
