Need help finding data on this Revolutionary War soldier

I found a Simon McPhater listed on a muster roll for North Carolina soldiers. He's listed by name on the army accounts of the North Carolina Line, no rank, no year. As I am running the McFatter Name Study, I am trying to create profiles for all the early American McFatters/McPhatters and other variations. If anyone can find any data on him in other books about North Carolina in the Revolutionary War, I'd be much obliged.

See The Colonial Records of North Carolina, Volume 17, 1899.

Dear Jessica,

I looked in the Daughters of the American Revolution databases and did not see any McFatter or McPhatter ancestors there.

What is the tag for Rev War?  1776  Is there another that should be added here?  Good luck!  -NGP

Jessica, I looked through the pension applications, but no luck. Closest name: McFatrick, a South Carolina application. Possibly neither he nor his wife lived long enough to apply.

Jessica, have you looked here: https://docsouth.unc.edu/csr/

I'm getting multiple hits both with the full name and the last name but my eyes are already a little shot to be spotting names in lists well today. Hope this may help.
