Does anyone have any possible information On my paternal great grandfather, JOHN P. SIMPSON c.1857-Kentucky or Missouri USA To d. 1932 San Antonio Texas. Parents J. P. SIMPSON And SARAH COOK(e) possibly From Illinois, no other information on parentage. JOHN P. SIMPSON had moved to Karnes County Texas by the mid 1890s. With or without His parents is uncertain. JOHN P. SIMPSON married Alice (Allie) Crain/Crain of Karnes County Texas In the early to mid 1890s. They had several Children and moved to San Antonio Texas By the 1920 U.S. Census. Thank you.

Have you checked this record from the 1870 census? It appears to be one of the only records that could be him:
