I have been searching on https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ for some of my ancestors and have came across the following.

It really has me so bamboozled as to what is the true James Yuille & Agnes Morrison
Can you shed some light on this.
Can this be another James & Agnes, what do you think?

It sure looks like two separate families.  Perhaps the younger is son or nephew of the elder.  Perhaps totally unrelated.  Same names in unrelated families aren't uncommon.  That's what makes tracking down your specific target so much fun.  cheeky

Did you look for an earlier marriage?

Answered that myself ..

Surname: YUILL

Forename: JAMES

Spouse Name: AGNES MORISON/FR325 (FR325)

Date: 06/08/1797

Parish Number: 484/

Ref: 10 484

Parish: Kippen
Thanks, I had not seen that one.

What I find interesting is, I had never seen that last name before (that I can recall, anyway), but I was watching an episode of the Wycliffe TV series yesterday and noticed the actor who plays the part of D.I. Kersey is Jimmy YUILL.

There are so many spellings of Yule, Yuil, Yuile as well as Euell as well as Zuil, it seems that down through the centuries when people could not write, it was up to the person who registered the birth, marriage or death wrote it down the way he or she thought was correct, also as family emigrated or moved the spellings changed. My own father added an L as he and my mother were second cousins, why I cannot try to guess. Mickey Rooney was born Joseph Yule Jr, my father also said he was also related, but so far I have not found how...
Finding a connection to Mickey would certainly be something.

I agree with Melanie.  These are definitely two different families in different generations (17th and 18th centuries) and places.  Take the older generation and track the children's children to see if you run into the other.  The names Agnes and Morrison are both very common, so I wouldn't find it that unusual.

I ran into that with my David Pringle...lots of records on the one that it isn't, but only a few on the one that it is..and there were some children of both with the same name...and the Davids were born 2 or 3 years apart in different locations. Hang in there, it will all come to light.

I know what you mean, in my family line their are so many James, John, David, Robert and so on that has been handed down from father to son, it gets so confusing. It is also costly trying to find the proper ones, from one generation to the next trying to pair the children with the parents. To top it off my fathers line intertwines with my mothers as they were second cousins. Also on my  mothers line it meets up again as my mothers cousin on my grandmothers side also married another brother's daughter.
