William Robert Preston (or Bertie) was born 5th March 1904 and was the son of Samuel John and Charlotte Jane (nee Bright). They lived in Kilpike, Banbridge. Does anyone know when he died and if he did any military service in WW2?

1911 Ireland Census, Banbridge, Banbridge, Co.,Down, has his mother as Sarah Ann Preston. Both parents are 35 yrs old in that census. Wm Robert is a 7 yr old Scholar with three younger siblings, Charlotte Elizabeth 5, Samuel John 3, and Stanley 1 yr old. Religion: Baptist

Hi Frank and no he didn't. He remained in Banbridge and probably worked in the same mill as his father and grandfather before him (F. W. Hayes & Co). He probably died in Banbridge (Seapatrick) too.......
