Need help from Ferguson/Furgason researchers

+3 votes

Merges have been proposed for this family, but it's messy.

Sources are needed for William's marriages to Elizabeth - two dates are given, one for Elizabeth & one for Elizabeth LeMaster, implying 1st and 3rd wives by the dates.

Source(s) for LNAB would also help. It seems that Ancestry is the source for LeMaster as LNAB for Elizabeth. I'm not a member, but I've found nothing to support that outside of Ancestry.

I've spent a lot of time trying to make sense of the conflicting info/sparce data for John -> William -> William ->Francis. And I've just spent another hour trying to justify that I rejected the proposal to merge Elizabeth LeMaster and Elizabeth Unknown. I haven't convinced myself, and I'm beginning to think that I need to disconnect William & Elizabeth as parents of Francis Furgason, whom I'm fairly certain IS my 5x-gr-grandfather (but sources are shaky & get worse beyond him).

At this point, I think it would be better for me to turn the Williams/Elizabeths over to fresh eyes, and hopefully better researchers!

Any takers?

I've detached Francis as son of William & Elizabeth. I've also removed myself as manager of profiles for William & Elizabeth and their ancestors. I'm fairly sure William had a son Francis, not sure at all that son is Furgason-39.

Thanks! That looks like his second wife, usually shown as Ann Vick - but also with Clark - (the latter list 1788 marriage date).
