Transcriptions of Pilgrim records in Leiden available

Yvette Hoitink, CGSM, a board-certified genealogist in the Netherlands reports:

70 records created by the Pilgrims during their time in Leiden were transcribed in Dutch and abstracted in English by the Leiden Archives, who used to have a website to display the information. The website has been offline for a long time, but the data was available as open data. That data was used to create this page.

Most of these records are notarial records or marriage records.

So glad you saw this, Ellen. It sounds like what you have been looking for!
It is. I found some good information, although it stops before 1620. Some names I was looking for are listed.

There are Leiden indexes on ancestry.com

third item below lists 1,616,586.

I took a quick look and some are pre 1600

Birth, Marriage & Death 399,175
Birth, Marriage & Death 653,833
Birth, Marriage & Death

The best Leiden indexes of course are at the Leiden Archive! Dutch genealogists really hate these ancestry links, they cannot be checked because almost no one has a subscription as ALL DUTCH SOURCES ARE AVAILABLE FOR FREE!!!!

@Ellen G,

Maybe more in the document I posted before:

"Leyden documents relating to the Pilgrim fathers"

at Familysearch, original records with dual language transcription.

Thank you for posting that.
Thank you Jan - good clarification and an important resource.
