Error in information

Question

My Paternal grandparents and my father are mistakenly listed as descendants of my mother. I do not know who entered this info, but obviously it was an error.
My grandparents names were Roy W Haston and Nora Mathis. My father's name was Roy Haston. My mother's name was Alice Weaver. Except by marriage, the Hastons and Weavers are not related. Will you please straighten this out?

Hi, it's not to diffucult to correct this! First create one 'unrelated' person (one of the correct parents of your paternal grandparents). Give him or her the correct partner and after this go the the paternal grandparents. In the edit screen it should then be possible edit the parents to the correct persons :)

You can also contact the profile manager for any individual profile and share your informationwith them, so they can correct, or you can ask to be on the Trusted List so that you can make the corrections. You will need to be a member of WikiTree to do this though. Membership is free, just send your name and email address to info @ wikitree.com

This is not much help, but just a comment for the record: I experienced something like this about a year ago, when Wikitree made that type of strange linkage all by itself.  The profile manager of the linked person was quite upset about it.  A few days later I was about to attempt a repair, but found the problem had disappeared with no record of anyone having done anything to fix it.  I don't know if your problem is similar, and the advice in the other answers looks good.  Good luck!
