Adding links to category pages on profiles [closed]

I added a category 'Victimes de Pelée' for use on my Martinique one place study. This category is most useful if there is a link-back to it from the profiles, but recent changes have removed the category links from the profile page. My question is, what is the policy regarding adding the link-back to the category page from those profiles? Do I have to go through and add a link, one at a time, to all of them? Or should I?

The problem with removing those links is that they were the easiest way to get to, or know about, those category pages.

This category is most useful if there is a link-back to it from the profiles...

If the category is added to the profile in the format [[Category:Victimes de Pelée]], then the profile will automatically have a link back to the category page. Scroll to the bottom of the profile (or click on the [categories] link) and check inside the green box. As an example, check this link.

...but recent changes have removed the category links from the profile page.

Can you provide a link to the change history showing one of these links was removed? It may be possible that a full-url was changed to a short-link in wiki-format (i.e. wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Victimes de Pelée was changed to [[Category:Victimes de Pelée]]) or another similar action.

Also, have you checked the One Place Study project page for how to setup and run a Place Study? By the looks of the categories you have now, there is a mixture of general regional and place study categories which will cause some issues in the future.

Thank you Steven. My mistake. I did not realize that the categories were moved to the very bottom of the page, as they used to be at the top of the profile.

Not a problem Duane, you can find the details here. Also, I updated my response, adding some info about One Place Studies.
