Profiles for Prendergast-7, -17 and -18 are listed in RED on Prendergast-13. Not found; could they have been deleted?

I have found several of these RED profiles as well. They have numbers assigned however they do not actually exist. I intend to repopulate them, however I do not understand how they got in this state. I have only been on WikiTree for about a month so I thought it was just something that I hadn't seen before.
Often, it's because of merging.  Say Doe-12 was on the profile's biography, but then was merged into Doe-34.  Both biographies get smooshed together, so no data is lost, but "Doe-12" is still written down in the biography.  Hence it is red, because there is no Doe-12 any more.

It could also be because of a typo.  Say the editor meant to type Doe-12, but instead typed Deo-12.  "Deo-12" would be red, because Deo-12 does not exist.

If they are living people, their profiles could have been deleted for privacy reasons.  That's about the only way a WikiTree profile can get deleted.

These wouldn't have been living people - based on the parents' ages, they would have been born more than 100 years ago.  The rules and policies about what to do when a member's account is closed have changed over the years, though.

I also see that the member who imported the gedcom that created them is also in red, which means that his/her profile does not exist.  When a member's account is closed, all open and public profiles on his/her watchlist are orphaned (the public ones are opened first) and all private profiles are deleted, so those were most likely private profiles.  I'm not sure why the member's profile would have been deleted, but perhaps that used to be done - now it would just become unlisted.

My brother thought that the way to give me profile manager access was for him to close his account.  I have started to adopt the profiles that I recognize as coming from this tree by surname.  I was puzzled by the missing ones because they show an id.  Are you concluding that I must set them up again, and will they need a new id?  Can I use an existing id if they don't appear when I search?
No there is no way to use the old profile numbers. New profiles must be created and they will be given new numbers. When that is done, we can change the links here to go to the new profiles.
thank you all for the assistance. J
