[[Category: yDNA, R-BY3373 Nesbitt Ulsterscots, Nisbet Name Study]]

edit

https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Category:YDNA%2C_R-BY3373_Nesbitt_Ulsterscots%2C_Nisbet_Name_Study&action=edit

but the url has extra text

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:YDNA%2C_R-BY3373_Nesbitt_Ulsterscots%2C_Nisbet_Name_Study#STR_matches_to_R-BY3373_lineages_oldest_known_ancestor

The part after the # (STR matches etc) is just the section where you were on the page, so anyone clicking on it will go straight there rather than just to the page.

For example: this is the ONS Project page
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:One_Name_Studies

and this would take me right to the specific section I last viewed:
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:One_Name_Studies#Getting_Started_with_a_New_One_Name_Study

Try going to the Nisbet Name Study and clicking on the link to the category page (at the foot of the page).  See how it just goes to the page, and not to a section of it?

Or try going to
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:YDNA%2C_R-BY3373_Nesbitt_Ulsterscots%2C_Nisbet_Name_Study

You can always delete the bit you don't want so that it won't do it again.

Yes but when I add it on a profile I get an error when I save the profile and have to click "save anyway"

the category at the bottom before you edit looks right

every thing looks right until you save on a profile

Everything looks right after you save anyway

see

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Nesbit-626

delete the sentence I added

and save and see what happens

Hi

I have taken expert advice and the reason is because you are starting it with a lower case letter i.e. "yDNA" which the system is not set up to understand.

I have changed it to YDNA on Nathaniel's profile, and it all works well.  You need to change it on any others you have put the category on.
Thanks loads---have now learnt 2 things to-day
