How do I tell family the information is here and how do they access it

Elaine,

On any given family member profile page, there is a list of icons for sharing including Facebook, Twitter and Email. one way to share is by going to a particular profile page from within your family, and selecting the Email icon.

I addition to the sharing features, if you want the person to be able to add or change information, be sure to create a profile for them, add their email address and then add them to the trusted list of any other profiles that you want to grant access to.
