GMD lookup request: Edward Hincksman/Hinchman

Question

I am rather confused, and I am hoping looking at Anderson's sources may help unconfuse me. If someone with access to the Great Migration Directory has a moment, I would appreciate a lookup of 

Edmond Henchman/Hinchman/Hincksman

who died at Chelmsford in 1668.

My confusion arises because I found an NEHGR article in which Charles Hoare names his wife Joane's brothers William, Walter, Edward, and Thomas Hincksman (see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hoar-31)  The wife Joanne attached to this profile was detached from parents Thomas Henchman and Anne Griffith based on Thomas's self-given pedigree in Visitations of London.  That Thomas names no sons William or Walter.

So, Johanna/Joane was detached from those parents, but Edmund and Walter are still attached.  Did someone just forget to detach them when Johanna was detached?  Is it a problem that these records keep saying "Edward" when the colonial records call him "Edmond"?

There is no Henchman or Hinchman or variant of that name in the Great Migration Directory suggesting there is no extant record of his arrival in New England before 1640.

Interesting. If you don't mind, can you tell me if Johanna or Charles Hoar is in GMD?

Charles's profile says Joanna emigrated in 1638 and the NEHGR article says her brother Thomas Henchman was probably Major Thomas Henchman who was "well known in the Indian wars."  If so, then it would seem Edmond was her brother "Edward" in the will.

The only Hoars listed in GMD are Hezekiah Hoar who went to Taunton, and Richard Hore who went to Yarmouth. No joy.

I wandered into the Middlesex County probate records to see if I could find anything on the Hinchmans. As you probably know, Edmund & wife Elizabeth left none. But his son Thomas did, as did his wife. Elizabeth (wife of Thomas), names a Bridget, "who is the sister of my dear husband deceased." There is also a "kinswoman" Ruth Warren, wife of Joseph Warren named as executors and heirs to Elizabeth's will. This won't solve your issue, but I'll add the info to the appropriate profiles in case the connections become more clear later.

Thanks.  Actually, I hadn't looked at all.  I've just barely begun researching this family group as a result of a brick wall I only got through in the last week.  But I had heard about those wills from this work, which also indicates a land record and also pointed me to the NEHGR record I mentioned in the OP:

I did a little follow up to figure out the relationship. Ruth Warren, wife of Joseph, is Elizabeth (Merriam) Hinchman's neice, daughter of her sister Sarah. Still gets you nowhere. Thomas still needs a sister Bridget ;)

Edited to add: I found Bridget (Hinchman) Chandler's profile, and have left a message there asking why the PMs haven't connected her to her father Edmund. Her profile shows that previously she was connected to Thomas as his daughter, not his sister.
