We have a small group researching the ancestry of Welcome passenger Miriam Short. Her father is certain, his parentage is not. Our collection of research to date is here.

We are unable to locate any marriage or death records for anyone of this or similar surname in Walberton, Sussex in 17th Century even though there are plenty of birth records to be found for the various Short families. We've checked the usual online sites FMP, FreeReg, FS, Ancestry, and more. Where should we be looking to find marriage and death records? Thanks in advance for help and pointers.

Some of these records now appearing at Family Search. Two people searching there last two days and they did not show up but now they are. Not sure how much is actually here but some marriages and burials 1630s are now there.
