Question

The US Presidents Project is looking for members to help with the management of the profiles of US Presidents, Vice Presidents, their families and ancestors.

We have a number of lineages that need YOUR help. Just answer this question and let us know which President's family you would like to be responsible for maintaining.

I would love to join the President’s project.  George Washington is my first cousin 11 times removed.  James Madison is my second cousin 10 times removed. I’m also related to William Henry Harrison.  I would definitely help maintain any presidential profile.

President TAFT  was my 8th grandfather from my father's side,i have been working on and have his family tree,still a work in progress but i do have quite a bit of info,will try to input info on to the website.Michael

Hi -- I haven't followed up on any of these guys, but I'm kinda sure I'm related to the Adams family, and pretty sure I'm related to FDR, and very sure I'm related to both Harrisons and Zachary Taylor through CARTER.  Not descended from any of them.  

Let me know what you'd like from me, and I'll fit it in with my other obsessions.

Most of the US Presidents are in my family tree, so I would love to join the project. Presidential Roots have always been a passion of mine and after losing over 10,000 names, I'm just getting started again attaching all the branches. Let me know if what I can help with.

I'll tackle James Madison (7th cousin 7x removed). He's probably the most interesting of the early presidents, and one of the most accomplished.

I am not sure that I want to focus on just one President rather I want to strengthen lines for many of them.  Although I am cousin to most of the presidents, I did want to start on one POTUS who does not have any documented connection to me by strengthening his line to Scotland.  After that, I would like to focus on the the lines of four Presidents descended from William Carter (W. Harrison, B. Harrison, G. Ford, and J. Carter).

Working on the Bowne family to clarify the Abraham Lincoln lineage.  Some say he was from James and Mary Penelope Stout, however, in fact it was James' brother John and his wife Lydia Holmes.  Yesterday on Lydia's profile wrote the line into her bio with John's will as one of two sources used.

My 9th Step-Great- Grandfather, [[Crampton-5|Dennis Crampton]] was President R.B. Hayes' 4th Great-Grandfather!

My 9th Great-Grandmother, [[Hall-17399|Sarah Hall]] married [[Crampton-5|Dennis Crampton]] after my 9th Great Grandfather, [[Munger-17|Nicholas Munger]] passed away.

Plus, President R.B. Hayes is also related to me through [[Chandler-11]]; being my 9th cousin, 6x's removed. Wikitree's Relationship Finder states that [[Chandler-11]] is my 14th Great-Grandfather.
