Yes, you can.   The reason is that the link has her name...ie

"[[Doe-123|Her name]]"

The name also appears in his father's profile, with the census records.

George Jr mother is not listed in the census in his father's profile.  His father is listed in the 1920 and 1930 census with his parents, not his wife, so father's profile looks ok.  

Just removing the link for his mother in his profile is needed, I think.
