The closest relationship of Roosevelt-10 to Blount-119.

I must be doing something wrong.  When I trace Eleanor Roosevelt's ancestry [Roosevelt-10] manually back to Walter Blount [Blount-119], he is her 14th gr-grandfather.  However, the WikiTree computer doesn't take that route, it keeps taking a longer route that makes him her 16th gr-grandfather.  My route = Roosevelt-10, Hall-1480, Ludlow-102, 103, 727, 728, 691, 97, 98, 39, 8, Windsor-38, Blount-143, 144, 162, 161 to 119. Why isn't the computer taking the shortest route?

You aren't doing anything wrong. This is a bug.

I've reported this issue (with other ancestral lines) previously. I believe that Jamie Nelson said she was adding it to the "to-do list."

Thanks,  dusty
