Alexander McDaniel's wives

Did [[McDaniel-235|Alexander McDaniel]] 1768-1834, have a wife named [[Wilson-34213|Catherine Wilson]]?  Shadburn in his book Upon Our Ruins is showing 3 wives: Mary Wilson, Hester Baldridge and Celia Blackwell.  So are Catherine and Mary the same person or two different people?  I am wanting to merge 3 versions of his daughter, Catherine, but two have her mother as Catherine while a third one says Mary and I'm sure that will hold up approval for the merges.

John Strange’s genealogy in “Upon Our Ruins” is largely undocumented.  Neither Emmet Starr nor David Hampton lists any parents for most of the McDaniels.  Clara Ward’s genealogy (the earliest for this family) lists three children of “Granny” Hopper and a white trader named McDaniel, namely the Caty/Catherine who married Jack Ward, Lewis, and Alexander.  James Hicks credits Alexander with three wives, one unknown, and two Wilsons, Mary and Catherine.  I think the Catherine McDaniel who married Thomas Raper was probably the daughter of Alexander McDaniel and Catherine Wilson.  A court case involving John McDaniel, son of Catherine and Alexander supports this circumstantially.
