Merging of Croaker-10 with Croaker-128

Question

How can Croaker-10, which has a high privacy setting, be merged with Croaker-128. The profile manager for Croaker-10 is unresponsive and has been inactive since 20 July 2015.  The manager for Croaker-128 is OK with the merge proposal.  Cheers Neil Smith

Neil, Croaker-10 can't be merged into Croaker-128.  It is physically not possible to do!  When the LNAB (Last Name At Birth) is identical on both profiles being merged then the merge will always end up with the lower of the 2 ID numbers.  The only time the person proposing (and the person completing) the merge has an option is when the LNABs are not the same - then it is the responsibility of the person completing the merge to be certain that the right LNAB will be the end result.

Please note that it doesn't matter which profile is more complete or better or anything else - all content of both profiles will be retained in the merge process and it is the responsibility of the person completing the merge to clean up the biography and sources to combine the content of both original profiles into one coherent - and accurate - narrative.
