Do you have Stanley's in your tree? Join the Stanley One Name Study

And be sure to add the code {{One Name Study|name=Stanley}} under the bio of your Stanley profiles

Does your study's scope include spelling variations like Standly, Stanly, and Standley? I have these variations in my ancestry in colonial Massachusetts.
Yes thank you, please include those variations and I will add them to the Study Page. Unfortunately there can only be 3 name tags, so I left out "Stanly"
As it happens, I don't know the rules and etiquette of one-name studies. I just wanted to register the information that these name variants exist. For example, my ancestor https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stanley-1670 was recorded under all of these spellings at various times in his life.
That's fine, thank you and feel free to add the sticker code {{One Name Study|name=Stanley}} under the Bio so the profile can be added to the Stanley page.

A friend of mine told me a few days ago that he had a Stanley in his tree. This guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_I_Stanley_of_the_Isle_of_Man

Unfortunately he's not a WikiTree member.
