Security - Making a Living Persons account public.

Question

Is there any way to make a living persons profile public with out creating a new account - I manage my mom's DNA and profile and it would be of great benefit to our other family members and our genealogy to have her site made public. That why we could share and match her DNA.  I'd be glad to sign an electronic privacy wavier or etc ......

There is no need that the "new member" is interested in Genealogy or has a computer. See GDPR FAQs nos. 7, 8. 9 and 10.

Hi Richard, your mother would need to join the site for her profile to be something other than Unlisted.

If you are the manager of the profile, you can invite other family members to be on the Trusted List for the profile.  This is under the Privacy tab on the profile.

You can get your mother's permission to create an account on her behalf and show her DNA information.  Once she gives you permission for both of those, you just need a different email address.  Edit your mom's profile to put in the email address you wish to use for her account. You can then log out of your account and create a new account for her using the invitation email sent after you edited her profile to add the email address.  Once her account created, you can log in as her to enter her DNA information.  Other than getting her profile public and adding her DNA information, there is no further need to be logged into her account and you can log out and return to your account login.  Just retain the password in case you ever wish to edit or add more DNA information.
