Including living relatives in bio. [closed]

I'm not sure of standards for adding information into bio's about living people. For instance, Don had two step kids. Don died. Step kids are still alive. They're listed in his Obituary. I'd like to include them in their own profiles listed as living?

I'm not sure the best way to handle without violating privacy. Am I doing this right?

Thanks for any guidance!

You can add profiles for living people but they will go unlisted and NOONE will be able to see them except for the profile manager and anyone on the trusted list.

I choose not to make profiles for living people (and this includes Notables) since noone can see them so I dont see the point.

There are some situations where an unlisted profile is useful, but it is not required.

As an example, my (currently living) mother does have a profile, but she is unlisted because I need her to link me to my grandmothers family.

Thanks for this! I see your point. I wouldn't want to list their names even in a bio if they're still living (perhaps refer to them as children, siblings, etc). I was able to dig a little deeper into the previous questions and found where this was thoroughly pondered here: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/617177/including-info-about-living-people-writing-biography-profile

As a safe strategy, I'm just going to refer to living people with their relational title (daughter, etc) and not bother with the profile.

Thank you so much!
