How can I edit a listing if I have not become a member?

Question

The dates you show for Juliet Belknap McDavid shows the wrong date for her death.

I am her daughter and would like to be able to correct it.

why hesitate to become a member and then get on the trusted list of the PM unless the profile is orphaned in which case you can then adopt it and modify it?

Hi Anon.  You would need to become at least a Family member in order to edit the profile.  The membership types are described here:

The alternative would be to write to the Profile Manager and ask him to correct it.  Use the [send private message] link next to his name on the orange stripe on the profile.

This profile is open so you can change the dates and add sources, etc. without being on the Trusted List. Since you are her daughter, you might want to contact the Profile Manager, explain your relationship and ask to be on the Trusted List or ask if you could be given her profile as Manager.

At the very least, you can now go to her profile and change her death date - be sure to post a source.

All of this depends on your membership - like Dennis said - at least a Family Member or just go ahead and become a full WikiTree member.
