Adding information on individuals not of direct interest

Question

Over time I have gathered a lot of information on individuals who turned out not to be of direct interest to me. I have sources such as Parish Registers and others. Will it be useful to create individuals for/on Wikitree

Since we are creating a single, collaborative tree, there is nothing stopping you from creating SOURCED profiles for unrelated people or adding sources to profiles already here.  I work on unrelated folks all the time.  If I'm not related, I write the bio and then orphan them so a family member can freely adopt the profile(s).

You might find they already have profiles in which case the PM should be happy to have new info. If they do not have profiles you may add them, but you need to cite verifiable sources.
