They should be able to.

You can check what they’ll see as non-members by copying the URL for your compact tree, logging out of Wikitree, and testing the link.

If you can’t see your compact tree, that means your privacy is set too high. You need your privacy set to at least ‘private with public family tree’ to share your tree with others. (I like ‘private with public biography and family tree’ so I can include something about my research interests.)

P.S. I’ve just had a look at your profile and it’s completely private, so your compact tree won’t work right now.

They should be able to follow the links on anything except profiles which are locked as unlisted (black) or private (red).

A compact tree is made to be shared with others.

Thank you. I didn't mean to post the same question twice, I was actually searching for an answer in the forum and didn't realise I had "entered" the question. surprise. For anyone else looking for this answer, I was successful in sharing my compact tree by adjusting the profile settings and sending the URL. It was able to be viewed and the links in the tree all worked, except the ones for living people; which is as it should be.
