The patronyme Turner is very well known in the 3-Rivers region, who is the Turner who came here and why?

I'm not familiar with the term 3-Rivers region. According to Wikipedia they are located all over the country and world. The profile you linked to (and his children) didn't live in the Massachusetts 3 rivers region which is near Springfield.

There are 16 persons named Turner listed in the Great Migration Directory, who came to New England between 1620 and 1640. There are probably others not listed and that's just New England. Turner is a very common name.

Why any one of the Turners came would generally be a guess, and probably not easily determined.
