Like Margarita, I am going to continue a story from "Week 22: Wedding".
Here is a reprint of the photo from before, the wedding photo of my uncle Willis and his bride, Kathy.
My aunt Kathy had a nervous breakdown in the 1950's, after they had been married a few years, when she took her three young children to visit her father, and the visit did not go so well. Katherine's mother had died when she was young, and she was raised by an aunt, in Oregon. All Kathy knew of her mother was that she had died when she was too young to remember.
Her father blamed her for her mother's death, which, it turns out, was 3 weeks after Kathy was born, and likely related to the birth. So much for a nice visit to introduce the grandkids. My uncle had to fly out and retrieve her and the kids.
In those days, they gave shock treatments, which were much stronger that what is sometimes used today. Kathy did not remember that she was married and had kids. She had to re-learn how to cook and sew. It also changed her personality somewhat. Yet, through all that, my uncle loved her, and they rebuilt their marriage and family, and she soon came to love him, again.

Willis died soon after their 50th anniversary.
