Here's the anniversary list for this week with a little something for everyone. Check here to see the results of last week's list.

If you are interested in Friends (Quakers) from Wales, England, and American, your help would be appreciated. In some cases, these profiles are managed only by the project; other's have co-managers. Please collaborate with those managers when possible.

There are bios to write, sources to find and/or update, profiles for children or parents to be created if sources are found, general proofreading and spiffing to be done, etc.

  • 22 Aug 1940 Emmor Bowersock - America - needs source for second marriage; linked profiles may be orphans which could be adopted for project

  • 22 Aug 1708 James James - Wales & America - Should the current parent/child relationship with David James-866 be disconnected again, considering the research notes placed on the profile by the co-manager?

  • 23 Aug 1697 Rebecca Owen - Wales & America - needs primary sources and profiles for three children

  • 24 Aug 1640 John Baynard - co-managed by Magna Carta - England & America - needs meeting categories and primary Friends (Quaker) sources; three children need profiles

  • 27 Aug 1862 James Barnett - America - needs Friends (Quaker) Sources; existing sources could be moved inline

  • 28 Aug 1812 Henry Naish - England - parents names are known from birth record; can sources be found to create their profiles?

  • 28 Aug 1796 Thomas Mendenhall - his two marriages need geographic locations and categories for meetings

I documented where Thomas Mendenhall 's marriages occurred.  He married Anna Lundy at  Fishing Creek, It was a particular meeting under care of Muncy Monthly Meeting. I'm not sure about the history of Greenwood Meeting. There isn't any category for it.

Carrie, do you know in which states the meetings were held? I assume in America, but even that is not clear from the current data. That's what I meant about geographical locations.

I'll go clarify.  smiley  He was married in Pennsylvania. Thanks Debi!

Thank you, Carrie! I'll see if I can track down anything about Greenwood Meeting so that we can get the category created.
