There is a reference in the Victoria Police Gazette to Anne Walsh, 36, of Ireland. It is in 1871 which means she's born ~1835 so this may be an ancestor I'm having difficulty with.

Could anyone who has a full subscription to either Ancestry or FindMyPast please share this record?

Thanks in advance.

Ann was discharged from Beechworth Gaol in the week ending 28 August 1871. She had been tried for drunkeness on 5 August at Wangaratta and given a sentence of 7 days and 12 hours. She was a widow born in Ireland in 1835, 5' 0" tall, fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, medium nose, mouth and chin. Many times convicted. If you want a copy of the page please pm me.

Edit: There is another one, tried 10 March 1871 for obscene language with a sentence of four months. Occupation was charwoman.

And another on 26 August 1871  for drunkeness and obscene language, 3 months and 7 days. Also gives ship as Stebenheath 1846.

Looks like she spent a lot of time in prison in 1871...

Can't be the same person, mine was married ca 1860, died 1893 in St Arnaud and her husband died in 1899.

Thanks for the help.
