Mary4 Snow (John3, Constance2 Hopkins, Stephen1), b. 10 Mar 1671/2; prob. d. Kent Co. DE not long before 15 March 1752; prob. unm.; she is very likelythe Mary Snow who witnessed by mark the 7 Dec. 1699 will of her stepfather Ephraim Doane of Eastham; administration of the estate of Mary Snow of Duck Creek Hundred, Kent Co. DE, was granted to Elizabeth Snow 16 March 1752, which Elizabeth is very likely the widow of Elisha Snow of Kent Co. DE, brother of Mary.

I shall create a new profile for John & Mary (Smalley) Snows' daughter Mary Snow, who remained unmarried, and detach the parents from the profile of my ancestress, but keeping the surname, as per the marriage source. The present profile for Mary Snow Winslow is the result of a merge of four profiles: i ''inherited'' the present situation with John & Mary (Smalley) Snow as parents, and, as a rule, i keep things as are, unless/until proven differently, as in this case. Thank you for the reference!

Good plan, Albertus. I'd also suggest adding a "Disputed Origins" section to both profiles for Mary linking them in the bio to each other to discourage merges on her later, without new reliable source information. There could be more that links James' wife to the daughter of John Snow.

Bobbie, i have followed your suggestion, and this is how the two newly split profiles look: [[Snow-383|Mary Snow]] & [[Snow-7334|Mary Snow]]. I hope that the ''Disputed Origins'' section is clear enough. And i also hope that one day the parents of Mary (Snow) Winslow will be found.
Well done, Albertus. Thanks for that.
