Hello,

Is there a leader who could either remove the project protection from this account temporarily or add his parents for me? I created profiles for his parents, Cushing-1811 and Bromfield-103. Thank you!

Added 1776 Tag so that it might draw the attention of those leaders. If no one removes the PPP there, I'll do it once they've had a shot at it. Seems like a no-brainer to add parents where none exist and there are no comments relating to potential parent issues.
I've added links in his Biography section.
Can you add links for the parents?

Usually, Notables doesn't manage the profiles that fit under other projects. This would leave this profile in the domain of 1776 and Massachusetts. Considering Founding Father status, I would think 1776 would take the lead role for projects on this profile. I'm out and on the phone I'll look at the parents when at the laptop.

Woo hoo! And definitely agreed. I think acknowledging this as a Notable is wonderful, but having 1776 or Massachusetts involved as PPP manager is even better. Thanks for checking into this.

I removed the PPP as it does not seem to be warranted, but I would like to see better sources on the profile.

Thanks, Juha! Glad we were able to get this addressed.
And according to its wikipedia entry, he had five children; there are no profiles for them yet, so that would be another thing to add.

Nice work everyone, identifying a need and finding/implementing the solution!
I agree that this profile didn't need to have project protection.

But lest there be any misunderstanding, lack of good sources on a profile does not necessarily prevent the profile from being project-protected. In some of the projects I'm involved with, some very poorly sourced profiles are protected to prevent bad merges, connections to parents known to be incorrect, or to prevent inappropriate LNAB changes. (The profile may not have good sources, but WikiTreers are aware of chronic errors associated with the person, and we want to prevent those errors from being repeated.)
I'm sorry if it sounded wrong. I didn't mean to imply that sourcing was necessary for PPP. Just calling out for better sources to justify the changes.
No worries, Juha. I knew that you knew that, but I just wanted to make sure other members didn't misunderstand.
