My last merge question for the day. Do we not merge people with the yellow dot for privacy?

If not why not?

I ask because I have several on my list - one dates back to 2018 and the most recent is May of this year and none of them have any sort of approval.

Only the profile managers can consent and complete . If the managers don't respond, you need to start the "unresponsive manager" process on them

Thank you Eddie but why am I not getting "Default Approval" or does that only come in if there is no Profile Manager?

"Default Approval" will only happen to Open and Public profiles.

You can also email the WT staff at info@wikitree and ask them to take a look. I've done this when a merge involving a private profile has been lingering and the PMs don't seem to be active. (The unresponsive manger route is also an option, but I'm not clear on whether this will lead to private profiles being taken over by WT or simply deleted, so I'm hesitant to invoke that.)
