Benjamin Wilmot descendants. Would you like to comment?

At the moment http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ladd-121 says the wife of Old Benjamin Wilmot is Ann Ladd.  I remember seeing somewhere that Ann the wife of old Benjamin might be named Ladd. I don't remember that there was any argument/reasons attached to that statement. I can't find any "real" references, to her name being Ladd (lots of internet trees, but no sourcing). Torrey NE Marriages, Jacobus' Wilmot Family, Savage's Gen. Dict., "Wilmot, Wilmoth, Wilmeth" even Cutter's Gen. & Fam. Hist of CT. do not mention the "Ladd." Just Ann ____. I suspect the 1600 lines to Pilgrims book which calls her Ladd has picked up this modern interpretation without listing any sources. I suggest that we either rename her "unknown" or add a really prominent "CAUTION" sign to her profile.

Also as it stands now, http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Wilmot-7 Old Benjamin Wilmot has a father listed also Benjamin and a pedigree (humble) to go with. I've looked all over at the available sources. I can't find anything substantial to support this parent and ancestors. AT least one of the Ancestry trees has Benjamin & Elizabeth Heaton (son and dtr in law) as his parents. If there is a valid source let me know? Otherwise, we should sever the connection with appropriate notices on profiles.

And this...

Ann Ladd (b. BET. 1592 - 1594, d. 7 OCT 1668) Note: Ann's surname from Second Boat, Vol. 9, No. 5, p. 15 Source: (Name) Title: Vital Records of New Haven 1649-1850 Part I Publication: Hartford, CT: The Connecticut Society of the Order of the Founders & Patriots of America, 1917 Book LDS Family History Library, Salt Lake City, UT Page 25:

I'll check the local college libraries when I get home for the first one.

I think the "Second Boat" reference is something Jacobus uses, but don't have my copies in my suitcase, so also when I get home.

Thank you.
