Currently looking for Moore's who are related to James Fitzpatrick Moore. There's not alot that's known about him. He would be my 8th great grandpa I think, I could be wrong. But the ones who are kin to him shouldn't be Moore's. We should be Fitzpatrick's. When he deserted the British during the revolutionary war and enlisted under general George Washington, he took his mother's maiden name Moore.

So far I've found, he was born 1750, maybe earlier. Born in Dublin ireland. Served with the British during the revolutionary war but deserted them and changed his name from James Fitzpatrick to James Moore. (His mom's maiden name) unsure of his mother's name and the exact date he died. We do know he died in the states though. After he left the british he served under George Washington. He had 12 kids as far as we know.. I think he's buried some where in Floyd county Kentucky
