Registering my husband as a member

I (Robyn) am a member of WikiTree and I did list my husband Roy (who is the "real" Adair) and indicated he has done his DNA.  I noticed that his DNA info doesn't go beyond his own profile....not even to his father's....so I suspect that he has to join in his own right.  How do we do this (either he does it or I do it) since he's already listed on WikiTree with a profile.  I own his profile and I imagine somewhere I probably show up as the one who posted it.  He is certainly interested in genealogy from a reader point of view....but I would not call him a genealogist from a research point of view....he waits for me to do that.  (Hahaha!)  Does he have to use a different email to register?  The thought of emails going to him and forwarded to me is not an efficient way to do this either.

OK....new question about the DNA not showing.

My husband is in Texas on business and I'm in CA until October, so anything we do here, I'm not actually looking at his screen....but doing this remotely.

He has done everything to get registered here and he made me a profile manager.  I waited 24 hrs to see if his old DNA profile (ancestry) loaded up since I had put that on there quite a while ago - nothing.  I now read I can't do that...he has to do that.  Will someone walk me through how I can tell him to do it?

When I go to this page (from his page) https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:DNATests   It takes me to my own DNA page, so I am unable to see what the questions are for him to answer.....and also, his DNA on Ancestry is part of my account as he does not have one of his own. (not paying for two!!!)  Can he access his own DNA on my ancestry account or does he log in as me?  I did this so long ago I just can't remember.  It seems to me it was easy when I posted mine on WikiTree....one click maybe and WikiTree accessed it.  When I put up his profile well over a year ago, I "thought" I was also clicking over his DNA, but apparently not.  It just indicates the test was done....but does not show anything.  Ancestry doesn't assign an ID to people so I want to make sure the correct Roy Adair is tapped.  ;-)

Hi Robyn,

If you add his email address to the profile (go into edit mode and look at the data fields) this will invite him to become a member of WikiTree. Once that is done, his profile will become private (instead od unlisted).

Also, it takes up to 24 hours for DNA information to populate, so if you just added it, you can wait until tomorrow and see how it goes.

I think there are some potential problems with having the same e-mail address associated with two different member IDs, and I'm not sure how the system handles that (or if it even does).  If husband becomes a member, he'll become the manager of his own profile (although spouse could be on the trusted list).
Robyn can be set as manager on the profile while he's logged in. I've done with with my family members who have DNA tested but don't want to actively mess about on Wikitree.

You're right, he'll need to have his own login to Wikitree - living people who aren't members aren't visible to anyone except for their profile manager.

Send him an invite by adding his email, as Steven Harris has said, and then, with him still logged in, go into the privacy tab on his profile and set yourself as profile manager so people know to contact you rather than him. He'll also need to be set to have a public family tree or his DNA won't copy out to anyone else.

Go into My Wikitree > Settings and turn off the daily and weekly emails, unless he's interested in reading them.

If his DNA test appears under the 'DNA Tested' heading on his profile, it should copy out to his family members in the next 24 hours.

If you added the test for him ages ago and he's got the DNA Tested badge but the actual test isn't showing up, you'll need to add the test again. A lot of test info on living people has been deleted for privacy reasons (people had been adding test details without asking permission).

Thank you all for your wonderful help.  Roy has done everything and now has me listed as a manager.  The only thing left (I hope???) is to wait a day and see if his DNA shows up.  When we uploaded a while back, they did post the DNA badge and I do see it off to the right on his profile....I don't see any of it referenced on his father's profile and on up.  I will wait until tomorrow to see it shows up in his tree.  And again....thank you all for your help.
